Passing a test

Updated 10 Sept 2026jirkamotejl

What changed on this page

  1. First version. The test was really failed on purpose and then passed, and the certificate was really refused in between.

A test is a step like any other, until you get it wrong. This is the same test building a quiz wrote, taken twice: failed on purpose, then passed.

Verified: Captured on 2026-09-09 and 2026-09-10. The wrong answer was given deliberately, the refusal was real, and the pass on the second attempt was real.
Assumption: As in going through a course, the learner here is the space’s owner looking at their own Studium, not a separate account without administrative rights.

A test step opens on its own front page.

The screen before a test starts: its name, the points needed to pass, a note that there is no time limit, and the button to begin.
123
That this step is a test (1), what passing takes (2), and whether the clock runs (3). Open the screenshot larger
  1. Test: and the step’s name (1).
  2. Musíte získat 1 z 1 bodů pro splnění testu (2) — the pass mark the author set, stated before you commit to anything.
  3. Tento test nemá časový limit (3). A test with one says so here instead.
Fact: Spustit test begins. Zpět leaves without starting.
The answering screen: question one of one, its point value, lettered answers A and B, and a keyboard bar for selecting, confirming and evaluating.
123
Pick one (1) of the answers (2); the point value is above (3). Open the screenshot larger
  1. Answers are lettered — A, B — and chosen one at a time (1, 2).
  2. Otázka 1 z 1 counts the questions, and the point value sits under it (3).
Fact: The bar along the bottom names the keys: arrows for Výběr odpovědi, space for Potvrzení odpovědi, Enter for Vyhodnotit test. The whole test can be taken from the keyboard.
Fact: A started test survives a reload. Reloading the step’s address returns to the question, not to the front page.
Missing: Where the question’s text appears on this screen. In this capture it shows as the literal word null, because the test was authored with the question’s own text field left empty — see the warning in building a quiz. A properly written question belongs in that chip. The product printing null for an empty one is its own fault, and worth knowing if you meet it.

Evaluating asks first: Přejete si vyhodnotit test? Odevzdáním testu potvrdíte všechny své odpovědi a test bude vyhodnocen.

A failed test: the verdict, the score of nought out of one, the threshold, and the option to retake it.
1234
The verdict (1), what you scored (2), what was needed (3), and the way to try again (4). Open the screenshot larger
  1. Bohužel jste nesplnil/a požadavky pro: and the test’s name (1).
  2. Získal/a jste 0 / 1 bodů (2).
  3. The threshold is repeated (3), so the gap is plain.
  4. Opakovat test (4) is offered, with nothing on screen suggesting a limit on attempts.
Fact: This is what Zobrazit výsledky: skóre looks like — a score and nothing more. The author can choose to show mistakes, or mistakes and solutions, instead.
Fact: The verdict survives a reload. Opakovat test returns to the front page from step 1, and the previous verdict is gone.

4. Find out that the certificate will not come

Section titled “4. Find out that the certificate will not come”
A dialog refusing to finish the course: it lists the unfinished steps as chips and offers only an acknowledgement.
123
What is missing (1), which steps exactly (2), and the only way out of the dialog (3). Open the screenshot larger
  1. Chybí vám ukončit některé kroky (1), with the rule under it: Pro dokončení kurzu je třeba mít ukončené všechny kroky.
  2. Neukončené kroky lists them by name (2) — a failed test is one of them.
  3. Rozumím (3) is all there is. No certificate is issued.
Fact: This is the answer to the question the earlier journeys left open. In going through a course a certificate came without answering a personal declaration; here it does not come at all while a step is unfinished. The declaration is optional; finishing the steps is not.

Opakovat test, then the correct answer.

A passed test: congratulations, one out of one points, and the lesson counter moved to one of two.
123
The verdict (1), the score (2), and the step counted as done (3). Open the screenshot larger
  1. Blahopřejeme. Splnil/a jste požadavky pro: and the test’s name (1).
  2. Získal/a jste 1 / 1 bodů (2).
  3. The lesson counter moves — 1/2 (3) — so a passed test counts as a finished step.
Fact: Opakovat test is still offered after passing.
Open question: What happens to a pass if the test is retaken and failed. Not tried here, and worth knowing before telling anybody they may retake freely.

How many attempts do I get? Nothing on these screens limits them, and one retake really worked. Whether a limit exists elsewhere is not established.

Will the course finish once the test is passed? Only when every step is done. The dialog in step 4 lists what is left; here the reading step was still open, because this was a fresh assignment of the course.

Missing: What Test typu zkouška changes, and what a Časový limit looks like while it runs. Both were off in the test taken here.

Next: nothing — this is the last of the journeys. For the learner screens as a reference, see your learning; for the authoring side of this test, see building a quiz.
